Hey Look Its Mike Setti
Who is Mike Setti

Mike Setti is an actor and singer/songwriter currently based out of Fredericksburg, Virginia (between Richmond and Washington, DC.) His goal is to dedicate his work to entertaining others in any medium he might find success.
Having wanted to act since he knew what it meant, Mike put all of his energy in high school towards the drama department. His summers were spent working for the local Fredericksburg Theatre Company, acting and building the sets. It was in this stage of his life that Mike started to play guitar but never thought that anything much would come of it. He viewed it as something to take his mind off of theatre whenever he needed a break.
1998 brought Mike to James Madison University, where he pursued his theatre training from day one. He gained a lot of experience being submerged in every aspect of the stage while choosing to minor in music industry. If he wasn't studying or working on a show, he was playing guitar and scribbling down his first songs. Even though most of these would eventually be scrapped for newer, better songs, the bug had taken its first bite.
While there, Mike was a charter member of "The Big Honkin'." This would go on to become JMU's award-winning sketch comedy and improvisational troupe exclusively base out of the theatre department. The Big Honkin produced three full sized shows in Theatre II, many smaller events in TDU (the campus coffee house,) and two student films. The family that is The Big Honkin' got so used to each other's timing and comedic style that they had to add new rules to well know warm-up improv games just to keep them interesting.
In May of 2002 Mike had made two major accomplishments: he had graduated from JMU with a degree in Theatre and already had a professional year long contract with a theatre. Shadowbox Cabaret in Cincinnati, OH would be Mike's new home. "The Box" provides audiences with a mix of dramatic theatre, sketch comedy, and rock n' roll. It was here that Mike got to grow as a musical performer while still doing the acting and comedy he loved to do. During his stay he would get to lead sing several rock songs, play guitar, bass and sax with the house band, act in comedy sketches and act in dramatic performances. All of this was combined with being a part of the theatre on the business side, too.
Mike chose not to renew his contract in order to try and see where he could strech all he had learned in the previous five years. He settled back home to re-group. He would soon be playing the open-mic nights he had left many years before only to be surprised by the positive response. He started playing his own songs for local venues on a regular basis. This encouraged him to invest in recording his first CD. "Acoustic Demo/EP" was just a simple disc of Mike Setti performing six of his originals and a cover of the K's Choice song "20,000 Seconds." Mike had written the group (based out of Belgium) and asked to use their song after providing them with a burned copy of his recording. The group giving permission became one of the greatest moments in his memory. There's nothing like having someone whom inspired you approve of your work.
That year Mike had also just completed filming of an indie-horror film in both Williamsburg, VA and Dallas, TX. This was Mike's first full-length acting project and was a great one to start with. Darkest Days is currently making the rounds in film festivals all over the country and even a few in Europe. There is a sequel planned but it is yet unknown if Mike's character will reappear.  The film in now in the famous Internet Movie Database or imdb.com
Most recently, Mike made his DC stage debut in the Capital Fringe Festival/World Premier of Lady Killer, has done several area commercials, and was on The “Ambushed” episode of the National Geographic Channel’s Hunter & Hunted. He also now has a recurring role in the latest Big Honkin’ series: The Defenders of Stan.
Keep an eye out for Last Winter, Mike's next feature-length role, currently in production.
